Abstract

This paper presents the Center for Studies on the History of the University of Turin, from its inception to the activities carried out in the first thirty years, in collaboration with organizations, institutes, departments, and schools. It highlights the published volume series, such as Studi e Fonti (Studies and Sources), Lezioni e Inediti di Maestri (Lectures and unpublished works by Masters), the periodicals Quaderni di Storia dell’Università (History Notebooks) and Rivista di Storia dell’Università. Special attention is given to volumes published during the celebrations for the sixth centenary of the foundation and on special occasions, such as the 150th anniversary of Italian unification, the refusal of the Fascist oath in 1931, the racial laws of 1938, and the anniversaries of some illustrious professors and researchers who taught at the university and educated generations of scholars from XV to XIX centuries.
